Signature: Noshu KaneNori Saku, Dated ?Tensho? ....(difficult to read) Forging Pattern: muji Tempering Pattern: Notare Dimensions: Length: 24 inches Nakago: 7.4 inches Mountings: All original 1939 pattern shin gunto mounts in very good condition. Handle wrap is all intact. Overall Condition: Good. Some scratches and hazing on blade. Looks like an early (pre 40s) shin gunto. Blade does not have an arsenal stamp and the temper is quite active. Most likely hand forged with mill steel.
