Large Katana Tsuba with Mitsu Tomoe Mon

Width:  8.1cm
Height:  8.6cm
Thickness:  0.6cm

Spectacularly executed waves and mon, carved in positive relief.  This type of work is commonly seen on soft metal tsubas, not steel tsubas.  I could not imagine how much time this tsuba took to make.  Nice deep black patina, some pitting.
