Mountings: The shirasaya is a
little dinged and has a crack that runs along the seam through the saya and
handle. The habaki is wood and part of the handle.
Overall Condition: The blade
has Hagiris. The
polish is older and could be redone to enhance the appearance. The bo-hi
is nicely cut and deep. Nice blade quite surprised that it has hagiris.
Perhaps it was a family heirloom that was handed down and kept in good
condition for historical reasons. |
