Forging Pattern:  Mokume/Itame
Tempering Pattern: Suguha
Dimensions:  Blade Length:  21 inches  Nakago: 6 inches 6.5 mm thick 29.5 mm wide
Mountings:  Shirasaya and solid silver habaki.
Overall Condition:  Excellent.  In recent polish. An exceptional wakizashi, fully restored by a highly rated smith (80 points in Hawleys).  Tadakuni swords are also rated Wazamono (Extremely Sharp).  This rating was done in 1815 by Yamada Asaemon Yoshitishi (see Nagayama's Connoisseur's Guide Page 37).  This smith is the Student of Dewa Daijo Kunimichi and his swords are rated as Jo-Saku by Fujishiro.  The Second Generation has a lesser rating of Chu-Jo-Saku and is not rated Wazamono.  An exceptional value for the serious collector.
