| Long Wakizashi in Recent Polish |
Signature: Mumei.
Year Made: Shinto
Forging Pattern: Mokume.
Tempering Pattern: Suguha in Ko-nie.
Dimensions: Blade Length: 23.125 inches
Nakago: 5.5 inches 5 mm thick and 27 mm wide at Hamachi
Mountings: Nice newer looking Japanese made shirasaya with a few dings, gold foil copper habaki.
Overall Condition: Excellent, fresh polish and nice prominent hada make this very long wak a nice addition for your collection. There are a few minor ware in the ji and shinogi-ji but they do not detract from the overall appearance of the sword. Boshi did not show up well in photos but is a healthy ko-maru. Also includes a copy of the sword license necessary to own a sword in Japan and a silk shirasaya bag. All-in-all a nice sword that needs nothing more than someone to enjoy it. |
