| Signature: Suriage, possibly Kuninobu. Year Made: Shinto Forging Pattern: Mokume/itame, Tempering Pattern: Active midare. Dimensions: Blade Length: 19 inches Nakago: 5 inches 6 mm thick and 30 mm wide at Hamachi Mountings: None. Overall Condition: Poor, Beautiful workmanship on one side in recent polish with much activity in the hamon and a prominent hada with only a small ware to mar it. The other side has three fukure and one jiare rendering that side unable to be polished. Would be a stunning sword to hard wax and permanently mount, good side out. |
