Mountings: The shirasaya is splitting
along the seem and the blade is a little loose which could probably be fixed
but is still in good condition otherwise. The habaki is a two piece
that is missing the outer sleeve.
Overall Condition: There are
some rust spots and a forging opening on the blade that are shown in the
photos. They will come out easily with a polish. This is a solid
blade with strong hamon. This was a Katana that was shortened to
wakizashi length. |
