Musashi
by Eiji Yoshikawa, Charles S. Terry Not a must have, but a GREAT reading historical
novel about Japan's most popular swordsman-Miyamoto Musashi. It is up there with Tom

Taiko : An Epic
Novel of War and Glory in Feudal Japan
by Eiji Yoshikawa, William Scott Wilson Same author as Musashi, this book is mostly
about Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the person credited with the unification of Japan. In my
opinion this book is an excellent way to learn Japanese History in the 1500 and 1600s.
It also gives you an insight into Japanese culture and mindset. Inspiring to
say the least.
